  1. Finding directions among a large set of variables that seem to simplify the variables into a small number of "factors".Use either Analyze:Correlations or Graph: Spinning Plot.
  2. Choose numeric component variables.
  3. Select “Principal Components” then “Rotated Components” from the check-mark border pop-up. Use Principal Components table to decide how many components to rotate.
